Doors of Sacramento

Debuting in August 2014 during Second Saturday at East Sacramento's Archival Gallery, this memorable and popular collection appeared on News10 Mornings, was featured by Sacramento Press, KFBK, Sacramento Bee, and was Tube Magazine's "Five to Watch".  The collection closed out 2015 with a second solo show at Jimmy's Barber Garage in midtown Sacramento.

Doors of Sacramento is the result of my three-year exploration of commercial doorways; a photographic journey that began after a conversation with a local bicycle shop owner, forced to move his business from his funky old garage.

Buildings with character create memorable experiences for visitors, so I felt compelled to preserve the character of these buildings, many of which are still in use today.  While walking various alleys, rail yards, and trucking corridors throughout Sacramento County, I wondered how many more Sacramentans would visit these unique buildings, before they were razed to make way for something new.
